Greta Van Fleet Ages Of Band Members are Josh Kiszka (27), Jake Kiszka (27), Sam Kiszka (24), and Danny Wagner (24). GVF is a Hard Rock band.
Formed in 2012 in Frankenmuth, Michigan, the group spent the next five years touring and working on new material. It was only after their debut single Highway Tune was shown on an episode of the Showtime Show, Shameless, that the band started gaining some exposure.
They soon signed on to Lava Records in March 2017, and within a month had released their debut EP, Black Smoke Rising which contained the aforementioned single.
Despite detractors claiming that the group sounded too much like a copy of Led Zeppelin, the band continued on a successful trajectory, and their second EP From the Fires, released in 2019, even ended up winning the year’s Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

How Old Are The Members Of Greta Van Fleet?
Greta Van Fleet Band Members Josh and Jake Ages are 27 while Sam and Danny are 24. The boys were mere teenagers when they started the group.
The group was the brainchild of lead guitarist Jake, who had long dreamed about creating a Rock band. In order to work on that goal, the singer joined his high school band where he met the band’s original drummer, Kyle Hauck.
The two started practicing together in Jake’s family garage which led to his brothers Josh and Sam eventually joining to play and the formation of the group. Together, the original foursome recorded three songs: Cloud Train, Highway Tune, and Standing On.
However, Hauck was kicked out of the band in October 2013 due to his health problems and a drop in work ethic when it came to his duties in the band. He was replaced by Danny, a good friend of the Kiszka brothers.
Who Are The Members Of Greta Van Fleet?
Greta Van Fleet Brothers Josh, Jake, and Sam are the founding members. Their friend, Danny, joined the band in October 2013.
The roles of the four members of the group are as follows:
- Josh Kiszka – Lead Vocals
- Jake Kiszka – Lead Guitars and Backing Vocals
- Sam Kiszka – Bass Guitars, Keyboards, and Backing Vocals
- Danny Wagner – Drums and Backing Vocals
Josh Kiszka
Josh is the lead vocalist and frontman of Greta Van Fleet. He is 27 years old and was born on April 23, 1996.
Like his fellow band-mates, Josh was a big fan of Classic Rock growing up, and while all of them wear their influences on their sleeve, the singer’s is the most noticeable. The main reason why is that he sounds like an exact copy of the Led Zeppelin lead singer Robert Plant.
Their voices sound so uncannily similar that many people, upon hearing their debut single Highway Tune, thought it was an unearthed Zeppelin track or one of their throwaways.
Despite the criticism this similarity has brought his way, the group, and especially Josh, are more than happy to welcome it as the Zep are one of their heroes and chief influences.
Jake Kiszka
Jake is the lead guitarist and founding member of the group. He is 27 years old and was also born on April 23, 1996.
In fact, Jake and Josh are twin brothers, which is why they have the same birth date. As stated above, the entire idea for Greta Van Fleet came out of the guitarist’s desire of wanting to be in a Rock band, and the rest of the members followed his initial will.
Jake attended Frankenmuth High School where meeting former member Kyle Hauck laid the groundwork for the band. Soon after graduating, he would attend Delta College before the band really started picking up in popularity.
During the early days of the band, he once toured with The Struts in 2017 and has also played with Ozzy Osbourne at the Louder Than Life Festival.
Sam Kiszka
Sam Kiszka is the bassist and backup vocalist for the group. He is 24 years old and was born on April 3, 1999.
Despite being the youngest member, the bassist is one of the co-founders of the group as he helped form GVF alongside his brothers after Jake started practicing in their family garage.
As the younger brother of twins Josh and Jake, Sam is part of the half of the group that is 24 alongside drummer, Danny. Like his brothers, he attended Frankenmuth High School, which is located in their hometown, Frankenmuth in Michigan.
Sam also has a separate talent outside of music as he was an excellent golfer while in high school and even made it all the way to the state finals. However, he had to skip out on the finals and the competition as a whole in order to play music in Sweden with the band.
Danny Wagner
Danny is the drummer and the last addition to the group. He is 24 years old and was born on December 29, 1998.
The drummer found his way into the group by simply being friends with the brothers. In fact, he had been hanging with and around the band before he had even become an official member.
Like Sam, whose friends he was first and foremost, Danny was also a great golfer and even went to the state tournament for each year of his high school. Like the boys, he is also a Frankenmuth native and has a sister named Josie.
Danny also comes from a musical family, and though he plays drums for the band, his introduction to instrumentation was via guitars, which his mother helped him learn.
