Grayson Perry Parents: Meet Tom Perry, Jean Dines

Tom Perry and Jean Dines were the parents of Grayson Perry.

Grayson was 4 years old when his father Tom, left home after discovering that his mother, Jean, was having an affair with their milkman Alan, whom she later married.

Jean Dines became estranged from her son Grayson following the publication of Grayson’s 2006 memoirs in which he revealed his unhappy childhood growing up in Essex and accused her of emotional neglect.

Jean Dines died a week short of her 80th birthday after suffering a stroke in 2016.
