She was involved with the I Theatre’s collaborative production project ‘Church and State’ which stated more details on the inconveniences and religious dogma.
She also worked for Silent Sky, an LA-based project, and Echoes of Violence.
Marlene’s parents were Cuban immigrants thereby her cultural roots and love for the struggling population are enormous.
She founded the Pheonix Children Museum and also received Valle Del Sol’s Exemplary Leadership Award. She was also an active volunteer and health advocate. She was known for helping the struggling actors and even production houses.
She once donated to AZ Actors Academy back in 2016 when they had to cut the budget primarily to meet the end cuts.
The couple also produced and worked for their combined project called ‘The Things We Do’ which as they stated was a sex comedy of middle-aged people.

Grant Wood lost his life on October 23. 2021 at his residence home located in Pheonix, Arizona.
No initial apparent cause of death has been expressed in the statement passed out by his beloved wife.
She stated that his death was sudden and unexpected, with more investigated death cause reports yet to arrive.
