Julie revealed in 2017 how it was love at first sight when she met Grant. She told Female First: “I thought, if it doesn’t work out with this man, how could it work with anyone? I have a lot to thank him for.
“I know there were tears in his eyes when I won my lifetime Bafta award in 2014 because he’s a big softie. His support over the years has been everything to me.
“One great thing about this stage of marriage is you have a lot more freedom and you can carry on getting to know each other. It’s actually really joyful.
The actress and her husband are parents to daughter Maisie Mae Roffey, who was born in 1988. Maisie was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukaemia when she was just two years old, and spent four years receiving treatment before being given the all-clear soon after her sixth birthday.

She said: “Scripts come my way but it has to be something I really want because mostly I prefer being at home.
