Graham Fyfe Cause Of Death, Obituary, Wife, Children

Scottish former Rangers player, Graham Fyfe, passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age 70. His cause of death is unknown.

Rangers released a statement confirmed the sad news earlier today.

“The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Graham’s family.”

The midfielder made 89 appearances for the Light Blues and was part of the 1972 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup-winning squad.

Fyfe scored a total of 31 goals for the Rangers during his time at the club between 1969 and 1976.

He made his first appearance in a league clash at Ibrox against Hearts of March 25 1969, starting on the right wing in a 3-2 home win.

Most known for his years at Ibrox, the midfielder also enjoyed stints at Hibs and Dumbarton before moving to the US to play in the Major Indoor Soccer League.

In 1980, Fyfe said that he had to leave Rangers because he had married a girl who was Catholic.

However, the media of the period approached other Rangers players who had married Catholic women, including Bobby Russell (who played 370 games for Rangers), and they did not support Fyfe’s claims.

Fyfe signed with the St. Louis Steamers in 1983 and spent one season with them.
