Grace Victory, known for her columns in the Happiul Magazine, is a social media icon who brags over 210,000 Instagram followers. The 30-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 a while ago and although the symptoms were not as severe initially, they worsened as she reached the final trimester of her pregnancy. The doctors decided the baby, which was due in February, needed to be delivered on Christmas Eve and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, as her family shared on her social media.
Now, her family has shared the worrying news that on Christmas Day, Grace was admitted to hospital with worsening symptoms and breathing difficulties, and had to be put into an induced coma to allow her to recover.
A statement on her Instagram read: “As you guys know, Grace gave birth on Christmas Eve to a beautiful baby boy, who is currently doing so well, he’s incredible. We love him so much.
“Grace developed COVID-19 two weeks ago and although her symptoms were mild at first, they worsened as the days went on. Which meant they had to deliver the baby as soon as possible, as she was just too unwell to carry on with the pregnancy.
“Grace was admitted into intensive care on Christmas Day due to issues with her breathing & therefore they had to make the decision of placing her into an induced coma, to give her body the rest it needs, in order to recover.”
It continued: “She’s currently stable, but please keep her in your thoughts & prayers.
“We love her so, so much and we know she’ll come out of this stronger than ever. She has dedicated her whole career to healing people, we now ask that you pray, to heal her.”

Grace and her partner Lee had previously shared their happy news in a social media post, saying: “We’re parents. It’s been a wild week but this morning baby boy arrived and is our little Christmas miracle.”
Expressing their faith, Grace’s family added “that she’ll come out of this stronger than ever. She has dedicated her whole career to healing people, we now ask that you pray, to heal her.” Grace shares her son with boyfriend Lee, with whom she celebrated two years of relationship this November 11, by posting: “Two years of loving each other.” Lee has also shared Grace’s family’s message on his Instagram Story on December 28, along with a photo of the couple.
Health Condition
Last month, Grace had spent nearly two weeks in hospital when she became dehydrated and borderline anaemic during her pregnancy but had made a good recovery.
