Grace Kinstler is one of the top seven contestants on American Idol Season 19. She is a current student at the Berkley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
During her audition in February, the 20-year-old singer made the judge Luke Bryan cry, comparing her to previous Idol contestants Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson.

Grace Kinstler’s father’s name is Mitch Kinstler, and her mother’s name is Sherry Kinstler. She also has siblings Kristina, Jacob (Lauren), Jordan, Tyler (Morgen) Johnson. She and her father have both shared a passion for music.
Before her appearance on the program, Grace Kinstler announced that she lost her father in February 2020. She reached the top 24 after singing Demi Lovato’s “Father” in honor of her father.

Grace Kinstler is in a blissful relationship with Joseph Wheatley.
Kinstler and her boyfriend have been together since late 2019. Joseph Wheatley, her partner, and fellow singer, have been very supportive of her career so far.
Wheatley later captioned a photo of the two on Instagram in January, “I’m so proud of what you’ve done and who you are; I’ve never met anybody quite like you; I’m a fortunate man.”
The 22-year-old singer is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in English at Northeastern University, from where he will graduate in 2022.
