She is best known for topping the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart for over 12 weeks in a row and is the first singer-songwriter to do so. As great of a success as she has seen in her home country, she has recently gained a lot of fame in America too, as her song, Way Maker, won Song of the Year at the 51st GMA Dove Awards.

The singer has also been recognized by the US Congress, and many prominent Christian singers have covered her aforementioned song. Her successes have translated to other parts of the world too as she is the first gospel artist from Africa to tour India, with several thousand people attending her concerts.

The 2020s have especially been favorable for her as she became the first African artist to top the Billboard Christian Songwriters Chart in May 2020. Most recently, the Nigerian singer joined the Grammy Recording Academy as a voting member in July 2022.

Joe Egbo Is A Pastor

Sinach husband Joe Egbo is a pastor and social media influencer. Joe is best known as the chairman at Fort Mcmurray International.

Egbu initially pursued his education in a different field than theology. He was a student of biochemistry at the acclaimed Abia State University in Uturu, Abia, Nigeria.

He studied at the institution from 1996 to 2001 and eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. The next 8 years of his life are undocumented, but his profession before he joined the church was as a Managing Director for the Jewel Coop Microfinance Bank Limited in Gombe, Nigeria.

The pastor would work at the bank in that position from October 2008 to June 2012. He would end up leaving the position on June 2012 and in the same year, start his career as the Chairman at Fort Mcmurray International in Nigeria, a position he still holds.

Sometime in 2020, he would end up participating in an online course at Harvard Extension School where he’d study Digital Marketing Strategies. He would graduate from the course on August 14, 2020.

Outside of his work as a pastor, Egbu is also something of a social media influencer as he has an Instagram page with over 54.1K followers. On his page, he shares pictures of his family, and the successes of his wife, and talks at length about his faith.

Dubbing himself the son of the holy spirit, Egbu is not shy about speaking his mind and often does. His more unfiltered thoughts are on his Twitter page, where though he only has 1K followers, a far cry from his Instagram, he is more comfortable sharing sermons as tweets.

Sinach And Joe Wedding And Married Life

Sinach and Joe had their wedding ceremony on June 28, 2014. The couple got married at the Christ Embassy Curch’s headquarters in Ikeja.

Despite the fame that the Nigerian singer has accumulated in her almost thirty-year-long career, she has managed to skirt controversy and bad publicity in her personal life. As such, it comes as no surprise that she has managed to do the same in her marriage.

Though her wedding, her spouse, and the ceremony’s location were all public knowledge, it was a tame affair that didn’t attract much news or fanfare. Her marriage has been much of the same as almost all media outlets devoted to the singer have stated that she has a normal and healthy marriage.

In fact, the only controversy the singer’s marriage has courted is due to her husband’s actions outside of their marriage back in 2020. The pastor sparked some controversy when he warned authorities not to stand against the church during the COVID-10 lockdown in 2020, but that has swiftly been forgotten.

For all extents and purposes, the singer has found a loving and supportive husband who is quick to celebrate her successes on social media.

Sinach And Joe Age And Birthday

Sinach is currently 50 years old as she was born on March 30, 1972. Her husband was born on June 30.

A lot of noise was made about the singer’s age when news came that she got married as the singer was already 41 years old when she finally tied the knot. The singer replied to the questions by stating that she was busy fulfilling her duties to God.

In fact, the Nigerian singer made a great point about talking about how happiness doesn’t come from marriage or a husband but from first discovering yourself, your purpose in life, and fulfilling God’s vision. Coming from one of the most influential women in Africa, her message hung on the ears of many women both in and outside her country.

She also stated that she wasn’t even looking for any relationships, much less marriage when her husband showed up in her life, stating that she was satisfied serving God as a single lady. But he ended up meeting her criteria as a partner which is a man who will hold his partner at a higher level of accountability while challenging, inspiring, and supporting them, which perhaps is the secret behind her now close to a decade-long marriage.

Sinach Has A Daughter With Joe

Sinach and Joe are the proud parents of one child, a daughter. Their daughter’s full name is Rachael Sonia Roda Chigozirim Egbu.

Young Rachael was born on November 11, 2019, and is known as a miracle baby as the singer, who got married at the late age of 41, had her baby five years into her marriage at age 46. Rachael’s birth was personally announced by Christian faith leader and pastor Chris Oyakhilome at the LIMA Awards in 2019.

As her miracle baby, the Nigerian singer does not shy away from showing off her baby on social media. She is known to share pictures of her baby girl in various cute outfits on her Instagram page, and the same can be said for her husband, who is also more than willing to show off his daughter on social media.

The birth of her daughter amazed and inspired people as she gave birth to a happy and healthy child when most women would be going into menopause. Rachael’s birth has done a lot to convince many people that the singer was on the right path to focus on herself and not getting married and having children due to a biological clock that many women feel is chaining them down.
