Doha, Sep 8 (IANS) Ace Indian shuttler and previous All England Champion Pullela Gopichand has given wings to his arrangements to advance badminton in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations by opening a badminton foundation in Doha.
Gopichand means to open a few foundations in the Gulf nations that together house a great many ostracizes from across the world and in which the Indian diaspora plays a significant part to play.
The new foundation has been opened under the aegis of the Dubai-based Gulf Badminton Academy (GBA), of which Gopichand is the main tutor. Qatar-based Athlen Sports Events is joining forces with GBA to send off the foundation.
