Gloria Allred Children: Meet Lisa Bloom

Gloria Rachel Allred is an American attorney known for taking high-profile and often controversial cases, particularly those involving the protection of women’s rights. She has been inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.

In February 2020, Allred hired an American-style school bus to encourage Prince Andrew to respond to the FBI about the sexual misconduct allegations surrounding him. The school bus was covered with an advertisement and placed outside of Buckingham Palace and included photographs of the Duke of York and a message urging him to answer questions surrounding the controversy.

Allred co-hosted a radio talk show with Mark Taylor on KABC in Los Angeles for 14 years. She also served as a panellist on the 1990 revival of the television game show To Tell the Truth.

On March 28, 2000, Allred was parodied on the animated TV show Family Guy, by a character named Gloria Ironbox voiced by Candice Bergen in an episode titled “I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar”.

Gloria Allred Children: Meet Lisa Bloom

Bloom was born Lisa Read Bray, the daughter of Gloria Bloom (later Allred) and father Peyton Huddleston Bray Jr. Her mother is Jewish. Her parents’ marriage was short-lived—they had married and divorced while in college.

Peyton Bray, who suffered from bipolar disorder, later killed himself, and Bloom subsequently took her mother’s maiden name. When Bloom was seven, her mother married William C. Allred.

Bloom received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was National College Debate Champion. She received her J.D. degree from Yale Law School in 1986.

Lisa Read Bloom is an American attorney known for advising Harvey Weinstein amid various sexual abuse allegations, and for representing women whose sexual harassment claims precipitated the firing of Bill O’Reilly from Fox News.

Bloom founded and owns the Bloom Firm, a law firm that has represented clients including Kathy Griffin and Mischa Barton. Bloom was also the anchor of Lisa Bloom: Open Court (formerly Bloom and Politan: Open Court), a two-hour live legal news program on truTV’s In Session, from 2006 to 2009.
