Giunta Family Extreme Makeover Update

Giunta Family house in Extreme Makeover was built in just four and half days. The team from North Maynard teemed with volunteers to renovate it.

When the show host Ty Pennington knocked on the Giuntas’ front door it was a surprise for the family as they didn’t expect it to happen.

The home transformation started as they made their house empty and the family has whisked away to Disney World in Florida.

Ty Pennington, who was dressed as Paul Revere, arrived at the residence on a horse while yelling, “The Blue Shirts are coming, the Blue Shirts are coming.”

A salvo of musket fire was fired at the house, windows blew out, and the destruction was underway as a Minuteman contingent led a parade of hundreds of blue-shirted volunteers down the congested neighborhood street.

The walls were put up on Monday afternoon, and work continued nonstop until the last nail was hammered, paint cans were put away, and the finishing touches were applied at five on Thursday.

The new home was unveiled as the Giunta family returned to their house on Friday afternoon to the cheers of spectators and volunteers.

With a line of volunteers and onlookers cheering, the Giuntas were taken to their new front door, Mr. Giunta rose from his wheelchair, turned to the crowd and waved.
