Gina Hall Was Murdered After Missing -Where Is Stephen Matteson Epperly Now?

Gina Hall was found to be murdered after her missing case. Her murderer, Stephen Matteson was arrested and jailed.

A previous Pulaski County prosecutor made history when he became the first prosecution in Virginia to convict a murderer without locating the victim’s body.

Gina Hall was looking forward to a night away from her studies after finishing her examinations in June 1980. That night, though, she suffered a terrible catastrophe.

The authorities came to the conclusion that Gina was murdered with each passing day and more evidence pointing to foul activity.

Gina Hall Was Murder Update 2022

After years of missing, Gina Hall was more and more believed to have been murdered as per the 2022 case update.

Gina, a freshman at Radford University in Virginia, was 18 years old. Gina was described as a lovely, soft-spoken young woman who enjoyed dancing and was a churchgoer.

She shared a home in Radford with her sister, Dlana, who was also a student there. Gina was enrolled in the summer semester at the time, and her last exam was on June 28, 1980.

She wanted to go dancing with some pals at a local nightclub in Blacksburg, Virginia, and took her sister’s car down there. But she did not return home even after the dusk passed the next day.

After investigating Gina Hall’s missing case, police finally concluded that she was dead.

Gina’s last known movements were first tracked by the police. She had gone to the nightclub with a group of friends but departed with Stephen Epperly, a 28-year-old guy.

When questioned by the authorities, Steve stated that they drove to his friend’s lakehouse in her car, and Gina called her sister when they arrived.

She then made the decision to leave and left him off at his home in Radford. After that, Steve claims he went to sleep and never saw Gina again.

Bloodstains were discovered both inside and outside the residence, indicating that the house had been cleaned. Gina’s blood type was O, which matched the blood type found in the sample.

Where Is Stephen Matteson Epperly Now?

On Monday, the county’s current commonwealth’s attorney declared that he will continue to oppose parole for Stephen Matteson Epperly in the same case.

In 1980, Stephen was convicted guilty of the murder of Gina Renee Hall, an 18-year-old Radford University student.

Before Virginia abolished parole, Epperly, now 68, began serving a life sentence. A state commission analyzes whether he should be released from prison on a regular basis.

Epperly was denied geriatric parole in November of this year. Justin Griffith was pleading with the parole board to give him the opportunity to speak when Epperly’s case was reconsidered.

Griffith reported in April 2021 that Epperly’s parole hearing is set for May 17 in Richmond.
