A Federal Court of Appeals has denied the request of two Oklahoma inmates who wanted to halt their execution sentences. Gilbert Postelle and Donald Grant were two inmates who submitted the request but the latter has already faced execution this morning. 

Likewise, Postelle is scheduled to be executed after three weeks on February 17, 2022. He will be given a 3-drug lethal injection, one of the lawfully controversial methods of execution.

Moreover, he was convicted for killing four people back in 2005 and received the death penalty for two of the murders. As per reports, he was involved in the Memorial Day Shooting in 2005 that occurred at a home in southeast Oklahoma City. 

The man was charged with first-degree murder and two death sentences. He did appeal to temporarily halt his execution but his appeal was discarded by a federal court of appeals. 

Also, the appeal included the change of execution procedure from lethal injection to the firing squad. But it has been rejected as well. 

Postelle will be given a 3-drug lethal injection on February 17. Thousands of people have signed the petition to cancel his execution.

A native of Oklahoma, he was born on May 22, 1986. As of now, the convict is just 35 years old. He reportedly committed murder when he was just 19 as the man killed 4 people at their own home.
