Georgia Harrison, a reality TV star, acknowledged that she always worried that further sexual films might be released without her consent.
Her former partner Stephen Bear was recently sentenced to 21 months in jail for secretly uploading sexually explicit videos of her to the internet.
Harrison, who met Bear through a reality show, claimed that finding the tape on the members-only website OnlyFans was the “final straw” for her and that she was worried he would keep selling content.
Using CCTV cameras, Bear had discreetly recorded their sexual encounter, shared it with a friend, and then sold it online without her knowledge.
The complete video was 20 minutes long, but just a six-minute excerpt was posted online. Harrison added that dealing with the fact that some people were witnessing the entire thing was considerably harder for her to handle.
Harrison, who has appeared on shows like Love Island and The Only Way Is Essex, brought a lawsuit against Bear in December 2020.
She asserted that going to court was her only option and that it was a difficult but empowering procedure.
There was a five-year restraining order that forbade Bear from speaking to Harrison. He was given a 10-year notification term in addition to being compelled to sign the sex offenders’ register.
