George Michael is an English record producer, singer, and songwriter with an estimated net worth of $175 million.
Pop star Michael had a difficult 2010 with a four-week spell in prison for driving under the influence of drugs. Yet it started so well, with three sell-out gigs in Australia. The son of a Greek-Cypriot businessman, Michael found fame as a member of Wham! from 1982 to 1986. He went solo but had a dispute with his Sony label. Leaving Sony in 1995, he signed up with Dreamworks for £10m. His main company, Nobby’s Hobbies Holdings paid out £20m in earnings to Michael between 1987 and 1990. Another company, Big Geoff Overseas, paid him nearly £10m. A limited partnership company, TwentyFive Live paid him about £12m for touring in 2007-10. Our rock expert keeps Michael at £90m on the back of his touring and his back catalogue.
