Accused of aggravated kidnapping, domestic abuse, and interference with emergency calls, Geoffrey Paschel was found guilty. Judge Kyle Hixson revoked the reality star’s bond and took him into custody. The case was scheduled for sentencing on December 3, 2021.
Wilson informed authorities that she had been assaulted in her house by Paschel after police went to a domestic dispute in June 2019. Paschel is accused of seizing her by the neck and banging her head into a wall multiple times, as well as pushing her to the ground and dragging her.
He allegedly took Wilson’s cellphone, refusing to let her leave the house. After the TV star fell asleep, she could flee to a neighbor’s house.
According to officers, Wilson had bruising and abrasions at the time, and she had a concussion.
Paschel alleged that her bruises were self-inflicted throughout the trial.
90 Day Fiance Sentence and Charges Explained
Before the 90 Days, Geoffrey Paschel began filming in Knoxville, Tennessee.
After an incident with his fiancée, Kristen Wilson, in June of 2019, he was charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic abuse, and interference with an emergency call.
After being convicted of domestic abuse, a former reality TV star faces 12 to 20 years in prison without the chance of release.
In his opening statement to the jury, Geoffrey’s attorney claimed that Kristen Wilson’s injuries were self-inflicted. Kristen’s significant head injury was allegedly caused by her striking her head on a door frame before leaving the house that night.
According to the defense, Kristen’s account of repeatedly hitting her head on the floor while climbing four steps was physically impossible. He further adds that if the fight had lasted as long as Kristen describes, her injuries would have been significantly worse, and she would have been carried out on a stretcher. He further highlights Kristen’s claim that she “strongly poured beverages” before the event.
His counsel called the neighbor whose house Kristen ran to the night of the event as the first witness. Kristen appeared to have “been in some kind of accident,” according to a neighbor. The neighbor dialed 911 after letting Kristen inside her home.
