Gaynor Fairweather Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography

Gaynor Fairweather is a professional ballroom dancer from the United Kingdom. In addition to being 14-time Professional World Latin Dance Champions, she and her partner, Donnie Burns, were also 11-time Professional International Latin American Dance Champions between them. This is, by some measures, a record amount of victories in each of these prestigious contests.

Upon their retirement from competitive dance, they were both awarded the title of Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in recognition of their contributions to the performing arts industry. Gaynor fell in love with dance when she was ten years old and wanted to pursue a career as a world champion right away. She was introduced to Donnie by another former world champion, Sammy Stopford, and the team has been tenacious in its pursuit of the title since that time. Before making the transition to the professional level, they were two-time amateur champions.

Their professional winning run in the world championship peaked at an unbeaten streak of 13 years (1984–1996), followed by one year of retirement and then another single title, followed by another year of retirement and another year of retirement. During their rule, they were meticulous in their work. In their attempts to achieve greatness, they enlisted the assistance of experts from a wide range of disciplines. It was necessary for the dancers to go to South America in order to learn from world-class Flamenco dancers in order to include aspects of Flamenco into their competition repertoire. They have spent a significant amount of time travelling to Japan and Hong Kong to educate.
