Gavin McGregor Rossdale is a British musician best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Bush. He was born on October 30, 1965. He was instrumental in the formation of Bush in 1992. When the band disbanded in 2002, Rossdale took over as lead singer and guitarist for Institute and eventually went solo.
He did, however, return to his role in Bush when the band reformed in 2010. He received the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement in 2013.
Rossdale and Sacha Puttnam established the pop band Midnight in the 1980s. Despite touring across Ireland and opening for musicians such as Big Country and Cyndi Lauper, the band’s popularity was limited to two singles.
Rossdale then joined the band The Little Dukes, despite the fact that their music did not suit his tastes at the time. He proceeded to Los Angeles and New York in the hopes of obtaining a record deal and met a future Bush manager by chance. Unfortunately, the band split up in the fall of 1991.
Gavin Rossdale Wife: Is Gavin Rossdale married?
Since Gavin Rossdale divorced Gwen Stefani in 2016, he hasn’t married. While both bands were on tour together in 1995, lead singers Gavin Rossdale of the rock band Bush and Gwen Stefani of the band No Doubt got to know one another. At this point, Rossdale and Stefani started dating.
But after some time apart, Courtney Love, the lead singer for the band Hole and the widow of Kurt Cobain, dated Rossdale for roughly eight months between 1995 and 1996. Since many people noted similarities between Rossdale’s voice and Kurt Cobain’s, Love has come under fire.
After some reconciliation, Rossdale and Stefani got married in 2002. Three sons were born to them together in May 2006, August 2008, and February 2014.
Stefani, however, filed for divorce from Rossdale on August 3, 2015, citing irreconcilable differences due to issues in their marriage. The divorce was formally finalized in April 2016. From 2017 to 2018, Rossdale had a romantic relationship with German model Sophia Thomalla.
