Gavin Rossdale, the lead vocalist of the rock band Bush, and Gwen Stefani, the lead singer of the band No Doubt, met while both bands were on tour together in 1995. Rossdale and Stefani began dating at this time.
However, there was a period of separation, and between 1995 and 1996, Courtney Love, the lead vocalist of the band Hole and the widow of Kurt Cobain, dated Rossdale for around eight months. Love has received criticism since many people noticed similarities between Rossdale’s voice and Kurt Cobain’s.
Rossdale and Stefani eventually made amends and wed in 2002. Together, they are the parents of three sons who were born in May 2006, August 2008, and February 2014.
However, because of problems in their union, Stefani filed for divorce from Rossdale on August 3, 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. In April 2016, the divorce was finally formalized. Rossdale was romantically involved with German model Sophia Thomalla from 2017 until 2018.
Gavin Rossdale Ex-Wife: Meet Gwen Stefani
American singer-songwriter, record producer, fashion designer, and actor Gwen Renée Stefani was born in Fullerton, California, on October 3, 1969. She is the lead singer and main songwriter for No Doubt, which she co-founded.
Tragic Kingdom, the band No Doubt’s debut album from 1995, helped them become well-known thanks to the success of their smash singles “Just a Girl,” “Spiderwebs,” and “Don’t Speak.” In later albums, Stefani continued to write hit songs including “Hey Baby” and “It’s My Life.”
Stefani was reared Catholic and named after a character from the 1968 book “Airport” while growing up in Anaheim, California. The song “Walk Away Renée” by the Left Banke, which the Four Tops sang in 1966, served as the inspiration for her middle name, Renée.
Stefani’s mother, Patti (née Flynn), is of Irish-American background and worked as an accountant before staying at home. Her father, Dennis Stefani, is of Italian-American ancestry and was a Yamaha marketing executive.
Stefani was first exposed to folk musicians like Emmylou Harris and Bob Dylan thanks to her parents’ appreciation of the genre. Jill, Todd, and Eric, her older brother, who was initially No Doubt’s keyboardist but eventually chose an animation career on The Simpsons, are her two younger brothers.
