Garth Brooks Biography and Life Story

Garth Brooks is one of the country music singers with the biggest earnings. Born Troyal Garth Brooks on February 7, 1962, Troyal Raymond Brooks, an energy industry draftsman, and Colleen Carroll, a country singer in the 1950s, were the youngest brothers. Since he was a kid like young Brooks at the weekly talent nights in the family, his skills have been refined.

He studied advertising at the University of Oklahoma State, but because of his deep love for music, he ended up seeking a career as a musician. He performed in clubs and bars in Oklahoma until 1985, when he encountered Rod Phelps, an entertainment lawyer. Brooks traveled to the state in anticipation of obtaining a record contract, due to the help of the lawyer and touch in Nashville.
After just 24 hours in Nashville, though, he returned to Oklahoma. He moved to Nashville one year after he married Sandy Mahl in 1986, and started creating connections in the music business. Since publishing his first eponymous album in 1989, he received his big break almost instantly. On the Country Albums ranking, it debuted at No. 2 and rose to No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 200.
There was a larger one for his second release. “No Fences” was released a year back, shot to No. 1 on Country Albums and soared to No. 3 on Hot 200. Since then, he has been a part of the Grand Ole Opry. With his third effort, “Ropin’ the Wind” he was invincible. Coming out in 1991, it ruled that Hot 200 must become the chart’s first No. 1 country song.

“The Chase” was eventually published in 1993. While it did not equal the accomplishments of its contemporaries, he was given a GLAAD Media Award for his track “We Shall Be Free” and another album “That Summer” was an immediate No. 1 success. In spite of his rivalry with some music stores where he blamed for selling used CDs, the follow-up album “In Pieces” in 1994 took him back to the top of the charts.

His music fusion started with the album “Fresh Horses” in the middle of 1990, which was a huge hit in the United States. It included “In Another’s Eye” his collaboration with Trisha Yearwood, a fellow country music crooner who would later become his wife after divorcing Mahl in 2000.
After his performance in crossing the bridge to pop, Brooks attempted to behave in 1999 with his mouth. In Paramount’s “The Lamb” he appeared as a country music singer named Chris Gaines. In his 1999 album “Garth Brooks in … The Life of Chris Gaines” which was intended as a ‘pre-soundtrack’ to the movie, he took on the name of Gaines to generate a sensation.

The album did not go well, alas, causing the movie idea to get canned. Still, Brooks has been lauded for taking chances by opponents. In 2000, his acting failure culminated in a retirement statement. In 2001, his final album, Scarecrow, was released. While it did not equal his prior hits, it nevertheless succeeded in having notable positions on the chart and the reviewers. During his absence, under an exclusive arrangement with Wal-Mart, hit compilations were sporadically issued.
