Gage Golightly, formerly known as Gage Stevens, was born on September 5, 1993, he was the youngest of four children (a sister and two brothers) of professional healthcare parents (his mother – a nurse and his father – a doctor ).
She grew up in Penn Valley, California, and attended Laurel Hall Middle School as well as the private all-girls private high school, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, in La Cañada Flintridge, California.
As expected, Golightly’s parents had hoped that she would pursue a career in the medical field but the beautiful actress still had her sights set on the performing arts. As a young girl, she loved to dance and perform and was enrolled in various training classes ranging from banging, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, ice skating, dirt biking and almost everything!

His career
Gage had always dreamed of being an actress in The Word Goes Away and was already certain of it when she was eight years old. The actress who credits her parents with setting the stage for her career insisted her acting dreams were so big that her mother decided it was time young Golightly was discovered.
As a result, one day when the rest of her siblings were away, she and her mother headed to Los Angeles, but left their father in California to continue earning money for the family.
In Los Angeles, they literally stayed at a hotel across the street from Burbank airport and sat outside waiting to hear someone talk about their acting role.
It’s only been about three weeks before they finally got a chance to see a manager after following a child they heard about coming to the manager’s door. Today, that drastic decision has paid off for Gage, with the rest now history.

As a child, Golightly suffered from dyslexia and deapraxia (CAS), a neurological speech disorder in which children have difficulty planning and programming complex movement sequences underlying speech production. She was diagnosed with dyspraxia at age 2 and remained fairly close to non-verbal until age 6.
Her therapists and parents only used language signs to communicate with her. As such, primary education was quite difficult for her as the children were very naughty and harassed her a lot due to lack of verbal switching and general clumsiness. While other kids could speak well in kindergarten, she still used sign language and school really didn’t click for her until about eighth grade.
Nevertheless, Golightly who knew she wanted to be before she could even speak, an actress went from being that non-verbal child to an accomplished actress. Thanks to the dedication of her parents and teachers, she was able to speak and now uses words every day to tell stories on screen.
