What was seen as a natural death of Pravin Varughese in 2014 took a turning point when things started to unfold.

The young man went missing from a house party in 2014 and was later discovered a week later, but dead inside the woods.

He attended the party with his cousin and another roommate but never made it back home.

A week after missing, he was found dead in the woods and the reason was said to be the cold weather and wandering paths, leading to a natural demise.

However, his family continued to battle for justice, and later a recent acquaintance, Gaege Bethune, who gave him the lift that evening, opened up about the happenings.

What Happened During Pravin Varughese Murder?

Gaege Bethune went missing from a house party and his dead body was found a week later.

The initial autopsy report suggested a natural death but Pravin’s family fought for justice as they believed that it was not a natural death.

As they proceeded with their measures, the second autopsy test showed wounds on Varughese’s hand and signs of hits on his face, which indicated that it was not a plain death.

Sometime later, Bethune gave in and opened up about the happenings.

Bethune said that he gave Pravin a lift and on the way, the young boy was talking about drugs with someone on the phone.

Around 30 minutes later, he attacked Gaege, and in self-defense, the driver punched Pravin in the face, as reported in The Cinemaholic.

Freeing from the fight, Varughese ran into the woods, as revealed by Gaege.

However, the authorities later revealed that there were no calls in Pravin’s phone record at the mentioned time.

Further proceedings saw Gaege scheduled to imprisonment.

But the defense parties later convinced the court that it was self-defense and Bethune was later released for future trial due to the lack of sufficient evidence.

Another trial on the case is to be conducted in the coming days.
