Early on, Gabby began displaying a preference for gymnastics, and her unexpectedly flexible frame persuaded her parents to think about enrolling her in gymnastics classes. When Gabby was six years old, her parents signed her up for gymnastics lessons after her older sister pressed them to do so. At the age of 6, Gabby began rigorous gymnastic instruction in October 2004. This proved to be the foundation for her future as a successful gymnast.
