Raquel, mostly known as “Roxie,” was a standout point guard for the Syracuse Orange Women’s Basketball team between 1994 to 1998.

Nurse’s foundation aims to raise funds to remove financial obstacles that prevent children in kindergarten through 12th grade from participating in sports. She hopes to eventually expand to all 50 states, starting with states like Pennsylvania, Illinois, and others where they already have communities.
Raquel has always placed a high value on sports and is aware of the advantages they provide children. Looking back, she believes the experience paved the way for her desire to give children a chance to participate in sporting events.
