Five Star Chef Netflix contestants are Igor Sapega, Lara Norman, Dominic Taylor, Jordan Brady, among others. The show premiered on Netflix on July 14, 2023.
Five Star Chef is a reality cooking competition with the winner getting an opportunity to place their restaurant at the Palm Court at London’s Five Star hotel, Langham Hotel.
There are seven contestants, all of whom are professional chefs with their restaurants. They will compete to prepare extraordinary dishes that are worthy of being presented at the court.
They are guided and judged by the two-Michelin star chef Michel Roux Jr. He will also be joined by a team of food columist Ravneet Gill and chef Mike Reid.

1. Michel Roux Jr
Michel Roux Jr is a two-Michelin star chef who owns the restaurant Le Gavroche. He is well known name in television as he has been a part of several cooking competition shows like Masterchef.
He is a French-English chef who specialises in French cuisine while preserving the classic taste. His restaurant Le Gavroche was opened in 1967 by his father Michel Roux Snr.
The chef took over the restaurant in 1991 and has managed to maintain the excellent taste and ambiance of the place.
In the Netflix and Channel 4 show, he serves as the main judge and mentor to the professional chefs.
2. Ravneet Gill
Ravneet Gill is a pastry chef and author best known for her book The Pastry Chef’s Guide. She has also worked as a television presenter as well as an activist.
Gill has over 10 years of experience in the field of cooking. He appeared as a judge on Junior Bake Off in 2020.
She is also a columnist on The Guardian’s Feast supplement. Based on her experience and her appearances in various restaurants, Ravneet Gill has the perfect credentials to serve as a judge on the Netflix show.
She is 32 years old and is married.
3. Mike Reid
Mike Reid is a celebrity chef and the host of Australian shows like Ten Minute Kitchen. He has 20+ years of experience working as a television host and a chef in both UK and Australia.
He is an international restaurateur as well as the Culinary Director of Rare Restaurants. Mike takes on the Five Star Chef show with finesse and intelligence. He has a no-bullshit attitude where he is direct about his opinions.
He makes a great addition to the team of judges on the show who are looking to find a professional chef with a unique vision and delightful taste buds.
Who Won Five Star Chef on Netflix? Elimination Order
Dominic Taylor wins Five Star Chef on Netflix. Dom was announced the winner out of the finalists Adria Wu and Jordan Brady.
The 40-year old chef brought Caribbean flavors to London with the aspiration to open a Caribbean restaurant in London.
In the finale, he started off with Jerk Chicken, Ackee & Saltfish Cakes and Guno Pea Daal Hummus. His mains were Curried Goat Chops and Banana Leaf Baked Sea Bream.
He then ended it with Bakewell Tart with Sorrel Jam and Guinness Punk Panna Cotta for dessert.
Dominic Taylor now get an opportunity to place his restaurant in the Palm Court. As per the Court’s website, interested people can get in early and grab a table as the new restaurant open on July 15, 2023.
Who Was Eliminated on Five Star Chef?
Five Star Chef elimination order is Sue, Dinesh, Rebecca, Nestor, Travis, Joyce K, Anne, Raquel, Lara and Igor.
Episode 1: Joyce K, Sue, Dinesh, Rebecca, Nestor Masudi and Travis Catfish
Sue, Dinesh, Rebecca, Nestor Masudi and Travis Catfish were eliminated from the show in the first episode. Joyce K was also eliminated after Lara and Joyce had to compete in an elimination challenge.
The challenge was to impress the judges with an original concept that would work in London’s five-star scene.
Out of the 13 contestants, only 7 could go on in the competition so 6 of them were eliminated in episode 1.
Episode 2: Anne
Anne was eliminated in episode 2 after her menu was only able to bring in £193, which was the lowest among all the chefs.
Episode 3: Raquel Fleetwood
Raquel was eliminated after Dom, Raquel and Lara made it to the elimination challenge. Lara was crowned winner and Raquel was sent home.
Episode 4: Lara Norman
Lara Norman was eliminated in episode 4 during the afternoon tea episode. Dom had the best tea-time soiree which impressed the judges.
Episode 5: Igor Sapega
Igor Sapega was eliminated in the semi-final episode. The task was to create an opulent feasting centerpiece that would attract diners looking to celebrate a special occasion.
