- The Finland tourist visa is issued for sight-seeing and leisure purposes.
- Finland issues a non-extendable visa for 90 days. The 90 days starts counting from the date of entry into Finland.
- The cost of a tourist visa for children between the ages of 6 and 11 costs 35 EURO while for children younger than 6 years, visa is free.

- This visa is issued to business-minded people.
- It is for temporary work-related purposes, valid for 90 days and does not permit gainful employment in Finland.
- Individuals who want to attend conferences, seminars or business meetings can also apply for this visa.
- A letter of leave from your current employer in Botswana should be provided. The letter should state your position at work and when you are expected to return back to work.
- The inviting Finnish company is required to issue an invitation letter to the applicant containing details of the transaction to be conducted and the financier of the trip.
- A sponsor would be required if the inviting company will not sponsor the trip.
- Details of previous business dealings with the inviting company should be presented if there are such transactions.
- Finland business visa can be used multiple times for entry into the country.
- This visa allows its holder to attend trade fairs and exhibitions, interview and employ staff also.

Requirements
- Individuals with the intention to study or intern in Finland can apply for this visa.
- Short-stay courses of less than 90 days can be done with this visa but if the course is over 90 days then you have to apply for a temporary residence permit.
- A student must have a minimum of EUR 560 per month, this will prove that the student can pay any necessary bills during the trip.
- Your Botswana passport must be issued not more than 10 years from the visa application date and should be valid for a minimum of three months from the intended date of exit from Finland.
- If the student does not have enough funds then a sponsor would be needed. The sponsor should present a recent bank statement showing enough money(minimum of 6,720 Euros) for the student’s studies.
- Students on scholarship would be required to provide a certificate attesting to that.
- Before applying for the student visa, ensure that you have been admitted into the institution.
- Certificates of previous degrees earned and transcripts of results would be required.
- Student visa allows its holders to take language courses and other short-term courses.
- The original copy of the admission letter issued by the registered institution in Finland is required for visa processing.
- You must ensure you are in good health with a certificate showing you are free from contagious diseases to prove it.
- Applicants with previous criminal records in Botswana would not be issued a visa.
- You are expected to exit Finland at the expiration of your visa.
