FaZe became interested in playing video games at a very early age, and after finding out about YouTube, he launched his own channel and started uploading videos of his gameplays. He competed independently in a variety of video games, and started playing “Fortnite” upon its release in 2017, and has since become one of the best players in the world.
FaZe Sway attended a local high school, and matriculated in May 2020. He wont attend college, but will rather focus on his career as a professional gamer.
Career as a gamer and YouTuber
FaZe Sway launched his YouTube channel on 17 June 2013, but his first video – “Easy De Atomizer” – was only uploaded in March 2017. Since then he’s gathered over 3.3 million subscribers, and accumulated over 262 million views of all his videos combined. All of his videos are related to gaming, while he mostly plays “Fortnite”, and two of his most popular videos are “Evolution of FaZe Sway Season 1-10” which has been viewed over 12.3 million times since it was uploaded on 10 September 2019, and “Handcam”, which has been seen nearly seven million times since 16 May 2019.
FaZe Sway is also active on several social media networks including Instagram, on which his account is followed by over 2.8 million people while he’s uploaded over 130 pictures, and on Twitter he’s accumulated over 725,000 followers.
FaZe Sway gained a lot more attention after he joined the e-sports gaming FaZe Clan in 2019, and the story was covered by “Dexerto” which is the main internet media network reporting on e-sports. He was the youngest member of the clan for around half a month before H1ghsky1 who is 13 years old joined in the second half of March.
The FaZe Clan was launched as FaZe Sniping on 30 May 2010 in Los Angeles, California, where their headquarters are, and all of their members are living together in the same house. They have had players from all around the globe play for them, competing in numerous video games including “Call of Duty”, “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege”, and “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” among others. The clan was founded by Eric ‘CLipZ’ Rivera, Ben ‘Resistance’ Christensen, and Jeff ‘House Cat’ Emann, but their YouTube channel was launched only after ‘Fakie’ became a FaZe member.
They are competing in around 10 games today, mostly focused on “Fortnite”, and their Fortnite team is made up of 11 American players, two British boys, and Juan Manuel Martinez Ozuduru who is from the Netherlands. The clan’s YouTube channel is currently subscribed to by nearly eight million people, and counts nearly one billion views of all their videos combined. In April 2020, the clan moved to a $30 million-valued mansion in Los Angeles.
Love life and relationships
FaZe Sway has been keeping details of his love life hidden from the media’s attention, but on 5 April 2019, he tweeted ‘I just scared my gf so bad that she doesn’t even wanna go downstairs’.
The girl is allegedly from Los Angeles, and they met shortly after he joined the FaZe Clan – when she came to visit him in the clan house, he pulled a prank on her and scared her. FaZe Sway’s fans (and maybe non-fans) have joked on his account, stating how real gamers don’t have girlfriends, and that his girlfriend is actually a dog and that he shouldn’t treat his dog that way. He hasn’t commented on the tweet and some people believe that the two broke up soon afterwards, while others claim that they are still together.
As some of FaZe Sway’s fans have recently seen him spending time with the girl, we believe that he has been dating the same girl for over a year now, hasn’t married, and doesn’t have kids.
Hobbies and other interests
FaZe Sway is mostly focused on playing video games, and spends most of his free time in front of his PC screen, but he is also keen on designing videos, and is said to be the best designer in the clan. He is not much of a traveler and even coming to Los Angeles to work with the FaZe Clan was a challenge for him. FaZe Sway prefers first-person shooter video games over all others, but can also play racing and strategy games such as “Need for Speed” and “Command & Conquer: Generals” among others. He is physically active, as the clan insists on each member having at least minimum physical activity, as this can also help their gaming performance.
FaZe Sway occasionally watches movies and TV series, and some of his favorite actors and actresses are Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Natalie Portman, while some of his favorite movies are the trilogy “The Godfather”, “Catch Me If You Can”, and “Leon: The Professional”. Some of his favorite TV series are “Rick & Morty”, “Friends”, and “South Park”.
Appearance and net worth
FaZe Sway is 16 years old. He has short brown hair and brown eyes, is 5ft 7ins (1.7m) tall, and weighs around 136lbs (62kgs). As of June 2020, his net worth is estimated at over $700,000, while the FaZe Clan’s total net worth is estimated at over $8 million.
