While battling the new coronavirus, the CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, 49, has spent his three weeks isolating himself from the rest of his family in his basement.

Cuomo claimed that he had been allowed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to go upstairs in a video posted to his Instagram account Monday night.

Cuomo stated on March 31 that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Since then, the anchor has streamed from his seclusion to keep viewers up to speed on his current symptoms, which have included hallucinations, excessive perspiration, migraines, facial problems, and weight loss.

Cuomo also reported that his wife, Cristina Greeven Cuomo, had been cleared by the CDC more than a week after revealing that she had tested positive in an on-air interview with his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

CNN has fired Chris Cuomo, only days after suspending him for assisting his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, with sexual harassment investigations.

According to a tweet from the cable news network on Saturday, his firing is effective immediately.

According to the statement, Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week, awaiting a review of new material concerning his brother’s defence role.

They said they hired a reputable legal company to perform the evaluation, and they’ve already fired him.

Cuomo took to Twitter to express his disappointment with his dismissal.

Chris Cuomo used his media sources and other journalists to investigate the women who accused his brother, then-New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, of sexual harassment.
