Facts To Know About Quentin Tarantino’s Wife – Daniella Pick

Daniella Pick is a famous Israeli model and singer, now a Hollywood actress. She comes from a respected showbiz family, but only came to international fame when news surfaced about her dating top Hollywood director and screenwriter Quentin Tarantino. Her moving into acting and modeling in Hollywood was through her relationship and eventual marriage to the Oscar-winning director.

Early Life – Birth, Parents, and Siblings

Daniella was born in Ramat Ha-Sharon, Israel, on 21 November 1983. Her father is singer Svika Pick, and her mother is Mirit Shem-Or, famous singers in Israel, once a singing duo, releasing many musical hits both together and individually.

However, they divorced before Daniella turned three years old. Daniella has a sister named Sharona Pick, who is also a popular singer in Israel. The two were famous pop singers known as The Pick Sisters, producing many hit singles such as “Zot Ahava,” “Hello, Hello,” among many others. They separated later on, and pursued solo singing careers, at which both are pretty successful.

Education, Hobbies, and Interests

Her academic background isn’t available to the public, but apparently Daniella loved singing and the arts from an early age, and has been busy improving her acting skills. She loves performing, traveling, and music. Her favorite actress is Jennifer Lawrence.

Career

Daniella started her singing career in Israel when she and her sister entered a Eurovision contest as a duo. They didn’t win the competition, but went on to take the Israeli music scene by storm. They were officially launched as a pop teen duo called The Pick Sisters, with hit singles including “Baby,” “Tamid Ola Hamangina,” “Zot Ahava,” “Shuv Hageshem,” “Hello, Hello,” and many others. When the Pick Sisters disbanded, Daniella continued her singing career and made hit English covers such as “More or Less,” “Yalla Yalla,” and “Love Me” – her singing style is described as Amy Winehouse meets Adelle.

Daniella bagged a role in the 2019 comedy-drama film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” directed by her husband, Quentin Tarantino, and alongside Hollywood A-listers such as Margot Robbie, Austin Butler, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dakota Fanning, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, and many others. The film received 17 awards in 2020, including Golden Globe’s Best Screenplay in a Motion Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Brad Pitt), Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Who is Quentin Tarantino?

Who has not seen a Tarantino film? Quentin is a globally recognized and highly awarded director, screenwriter, and actor. A Tarantino film is always a blockbuster hit. His name alone guarantees the quality of the storyline and the movie itself. He loves quirky non-linear storylines and graphic violence in his films.

Tarantino promised to make ten movies before retiring – “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is his tenth movie, although some argue that “Kill Bill” can be considered as just one, so he is still on his ninth. Tarantino wants to retire before he hits 60, so he can pursue other interests such as writing and other art forms.

His blockbuster movies are:

  • Reservoir Dogs (1992)
  • Pulp Fiction (1994)
  • Jackie Brown (1997)
  • Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003)
  • Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004)
  • Grindhouse: Death Proof (2007)
  • Inglourious Basterds (2009)
  • Django Unchained (2012)
  • The Hateful Eight (2015)
  • Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Tarantino is loyal to the actors that he likes, so tends to work with the same actors on his various projects. Samuel L. Jackson has appeared in six out of his ten films, Michael Madsen in five, James Parks in four, and Tim Roth in three out of his ten films. Zoe Bell has appeared in seven of his movies, Kurt Russell, while Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio have appeared in two of his recent films.

Tarantino’s estimated net worth is over $120 million, as of early 2020.
