Adapted from the comic book series of the same name, The Sandman is the new addition to the Netflix film series in which Tom Sturridge plays the titular Lord of Dreams. It is captured by Sir Roderick Burgess (Charles Dance), who is trying to get rid of Corinthian, a Nightmare who is consuming the horrors of World War I.

First off, comics fans will enjoy that Death made her first appearance in an episode titled “The Sound of Her Wings.” Additionally, based on what Gaiman previously revealed, viewers can anticipate being completely floored by her performance.
According to Gaiman, they witnessed hundreds of deaths, but Kirby had a unique ability to speak truth to authority. The supermodels and other candidates who auditioned for the part were much more well-known than Kirby, but none were fit to be Death.

The Sandman: Drama Series Role And Plot To Know About The Actress
The recently released American fantasy drama series “The Sandman” is based on the 1989-1996 comic book series created by renowned Neil Gaiman and distributed by DC Comics.
According to her, Death is portrayed as really menacing, but in the series, the idea of Death is entirely different and recreated with creative freedom. Kirby Howell-Baptiste says, “She’s the life and soul of the party.”
She further added about her character by saying Death is one you want to be around, making it much less scary. She related the character with her own life, highlighting her loss through the role.
Kirby stated, “I think we all hope for our loved ones, when they go, and also obvious when we go, that we are taken care of. That we’re ushered from this place to whatever is next.”
