How Many Times Has Lauren Boebert Been Arrested?

Rep. Lauren Boebert, a gun-toting freshman Republican congressman from Colorado who ran on a pro-law-and-order ticket, and multiple run-ins with the law since she was a teenager.

The 34-year-old congresswoman has an unusually long rap sheet for a member of Congress, having beaten her district’s relatively conservative Rep. Scott Tipton in a primary shock last June.

Her history of defying the law continued this week when she got into a spat with Capitol Police officers over her unwillingness to walk through newly installed House metal detectors.

In defiance, she tweeted, “I am lawfully entitled to carry my handgun in Washington, DC, and within the Capitol complex,” calling the detectors “another political ploy by Speaker Pelosi.”

While the politician was eventually allowed to enter the House chambers, she was questioned about her suspected involvement in the deadly incident on Capitol Hill on January 6.

“Today is 1776,” she tweeted just hours before the bloodshed. Boebert made a show of her decision to remain armed in the Capitol in the days leading up to the unrest, drawing another criticism from local law police.

Lauren Boebert was arrested for disorderly conduct at a country music festival near Grand Junction, Colorado, in June 2015, after police alleged she tried to interfere with the arrest of kids who had been nabbed for underage drinking and encouraged them to flee.

The revelers had not been told their Miranda rights, according to Boebert, and the arrest was illegal.

In a statement at the time, an arresting officer claimed, “Lauren continued shouting and causing the underage drinkers to get belligerent.”

Lauren repeatedly stated that she had Fox News friends and that the illegal arrest would be national news.

She was the owner of Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, at the time. Colorado Newsline was the first to break the story.

Boebert was detained again in December 2015 after missing two court hearings. The charge was thrown out.

After rolling her truck into a ditch, Lauren was charged with careless driving and operating an unsafe vehicle a year later, in September 2016. A warrant for the politician’s arrest was issued after she failed to appear in court a month later. On February 13, 2017, she was arrested.

Boebert was arrested in September 2010 after a neighbor, Michele Sort, claimed that Boebert’s two pit dogs had attacked Soet’s dog.
