Ezequiel “Equi” González (Spanish pronunciation: [eseˈkjel ɣonˈsales]; born 10 July 1980 in Rosario) is a former Argentine midfielder.

Career

González started playing professionally at home-based first division Rosario Central in 1997. His success in the club from Rosario (Santa Fé) took him to Fiorentina, a young man in a club facing bankruptcy made things hard for him to settle in Italy, his raw talent was there for all to see it was just the wrong time to be at the club. Early in 2002 El Equi returned to Argentina to play for Boca Juniors, and then a year later he joined his first club, Rosario Central. After half a season (a short championship in Argentina), Ezequiel transferred to Panathinaikos, where he was very much loved by fans of Panathinaikos, he became captain of the team, and helped the club to win the double in 2004, the first title in 7 years, a Greek Cup, and the Greek Championship, all in 2004.

Equi González has great technique, creative passing and high influence. His first UEFA Champions League appearance (September 2004) was more than successful, as he scored two fantastic goals against Norwegian champions Rosenborg.

Unfortunately, Gonzalez picked up a damaged cruciate ligament during the friendly match Panathinaikos vs. Apollon Athinon (1-0). Due to this injury, he played only one match during the 2006-2007 season. Equi returned fit from his injury, against Apollon Kalamarias (1-0) on January 6, 2008.

On June 27, 2008 he went back to Rosario Central. With the number 10 he made a good season. In the end of the season he went on a free transfer to Fluminense to play the Brazilian League. He changed team again and he played for LDU Quito in 2011. When he finished the contract he was retired.

Colin Farrell’s first U.S. film was a little-seen Irish gangster drama called Ordinary Decent Criminal. His next performance, in the 2000 feature Tigerland, earned him praise and recognition. The young actor then landed the leading role in numerous features films, including American Outlaws, Phone Booth, Hart’s War and The Recruit. In 2003, he starred in Ask the Dust. His role in Martin McDonagh’s In Bruges (2008) garnered him a Golden Globe Award. Farrell co-starred in Fright Night (2011), Total Recall (2012) and Seven Psychopaths (2012). He also starred with Noomi Rapace in the action film Dead Man Down and as Travers Goff in Saving Mr. Banks (both in 2013). In 2014, Farrell starred as Peter Lake in Winter’s Tale, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Mark Helprin. As a youth, Farrell was inspired to try acting when E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial reportedly moved him to tears. With his brother’s encouragement he attended the Gaiety School of Acting, dropping out when he was cast as Danny Byrne on Ballykissangel, a BBC television drama about a young English priest who becomes part of an Irish rural community. He was actually first ‘discovered’ in Sydney by Hume Theatre Company and cast in the role of Stevie Hart in their original production of Kelly’s Reign, prior to appearing in Ballykissangel. His personal life has had its share of ups and downs: In December 2005, Farrell checked into rehab for drug addiction; he made news again when he was stalked in 2006; and yet again over a lawsuit against his former girlfriend, Playboy model Nicole Narain, for unauthorized distribution of a sex tape they made together in 2003. During the 2000s, Farrell developed a reputation as an unscrupulous seducer of women and proceeded to play out his many conquests in public. He has two sons, one with model Kim Bordenave and another with his Ondine costar, Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. More recently he has appeared in the films The Lobster (2015), Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (2016) and Dumbo (2019).
