Despite her husband being a prominent public figure, Kathy Gohmert has kept much of her information a secret. She studied at Baylor University from 1973 to 1977. Following graduation, she married her husband, Louie Gohmert, and then took a two-year break from education.
Kathy went back to pursue her higher education in 1980 when she joined an MBA program at Columbus State University and graduated with her master’s degree in 1982.
Kathy currently works in Marketing and Public Relations at Mercy Ships. Previously, she worked for Today Foundation from 2007 to 2009 as their East Texas Leadership Forum Manager.
She is very religious, like her husband, and they both attend Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, where their family lives. Her husband, Louie, also serves as a Deacon for the church and teaches Sunday School there.
