Jamie Klingler, 42-years-old London-based writer, event manager, and director of Reclaim These Streets, is in the news for her weight loss journey.
Jamie currently resides in London, England, and is the co-founder of Reclaim These Streets. She is also working for Shortlist as a Head of Publishing and runs her own business and start-ups.
Her tweet in the Sarah Everard missing case went viral. During the COVID-19 restriction Sarah Everard, the woman from London, went missing. The police were not successful in finding the lady.
The statement of police where they said women should remain in their houses to stay safe pissed her off. So she expressed her dissatisfaction with that statement in the tweet.
Her tweet helped her be in touch with the women, who were fighting for women’s rights, and ‘Reclaim These Streets’ formed.
I wrote about losing myself; and what it took for me to come back from the brink. Hard to write, hard to do; but I am so pleased that I had the space and opportunity to turn my life around. https://t.co/QrmRvSJwtz

Jamie Klingler Weight Loss Journey
The social activist Jamie Klingler lost 44kg during the COVID restriction. Her weight loss journey was incredible.
She was addicted to food and alcohol. She called herself a drunk party girl.
The first few months were her drunken months during the pandemic, where she drank Rose a lot. This drinking habit affected her mental health, which led to depression.
After her physical and mental health was severely affected, she quit drinking. To be fit, she started running with her dog McNulty.
She used to do 20,000 steps daily and was on a calorie-deficient diet. She also got herself involved in cognitive behavioral therapy, dancing, and eating healthy foods.
The event manager was extra-large size since she was 18. Her motive for weight loss was never to regain a perfect figure but to have a healthy weight band. Her metabolic age was 49 in October 2020, and now it is 39.
I’ve just hit my weight loss goal. 70 pounds in a little less than 6 months on @noom. PT by the amazing @CarolMeechanPT. According to my high tech scale, I’m no longer overweight for the first time as an adult. It will be a year since I quit drinking on Wednesday. ???? pic.twitter.com/JYyoF9jfTP

In court this week. The @metpoliceuk violated the Human Rights Act by not allowing us to legally hold a vigil. If successful, a precedent will be set, not only for policing in Covid times but for the right to protest. The human right to assemble must be protected. pic.twitter.com/wR50b9wDof
