South African rapper born Mthembeni Ndevu but popularly known within the entertainment circles as Emtee was born on September 15, 1992, in South Africa.
Emtee began schooling with the Yeoville Primary School in the beautiful city of Yeoville in Johannesburg, then he proceeded to Barna for his secondary school education. Although he is not married officially, Emtee has two sons with his high school sweetheart.
His first son, Avery was born in 2015 and named after his father’s first hit song, Avery, and the second, Logan was born in 2018. His debut album was named after Avery.
Emtee Music Career
Emtee from his primary school days always knew he wanted to be in the music industry, before he moved to Barna for his secondary school education, he was actively involved in rapper battles and competitions at that tender age. However, he became a professional musician in 2010 when he worked with Maraza, a South African rapper to release the song titled, “In It To Win It”, after that, he joined a rap trio, African Trap Movement, alongside Sjava and Saudi. The group however did not last long.
Emtee had to go solo again and he finally made it to the lime light when he released the Avery song. Since then, he has been an A-list South African rapper with amazing hits like; About me, Feel me up, We up, Dreams, Winning, Pray for me ,Mama, Ready, Roll up, Mamie game and many more.
