What Is Ellie Robinson Disability?
Ellie Robinson was born with a disability that prevented her from bones from growing and other physical abnormalities. She has a rare type of dwarfism called Cartilage Hair Hypoplasia that has provided her with short stature, sparse hair, and an abnormal immune system.
Due to Robinson’s weak immune system, she is susceptible to contract infections that would worsen her health condition. To make things worse for her, she was diagnosed with Perthes hip disease in November 2012 that affected the use of her hips and caused difficulty for her when swimming.
Despite her physical state, the Paralympian has always had a strong mindset to win and has been participating in the events even after being diagnosed with her hips. Ellie has stated that her limited time to be a swimmer has come to an end due to the worsening condition of her hips and this would be her last game as a talented swimmer.
Ellie Robinson Height – How Tall?
Ellie stands short in height due to her dwarfism but that hasn’t affected her determination to conquer the swimming world. In spite of being just 4 feet in height, she has been able to take part in two Olympics games and has won a gold medal in one of the events.
The swimmer sets an example that the physical condition might not be a setback if a person is mentally strong to achieve one’s goal.
