Elizabeth Herndon MacRae (born February 22, 1936) is an actress who appeared in guest roles on a number of television programmes throughout the 1960s and 1980s. She is most remembered for her role as Lou Ann Poovie on the Gomer Pyle, USMC television series, but she also appeared in the Oscar-nominated drama The Conversation and other films directed by Francis Coppola. The Southern Historical Collection at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has her papers, which include numerous scripts from the many programmes on which she performed.
