Elena Lomachenko, Boxer Vasyl Lomachenko Wife And Family – 5 Quick Facts

The Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko has two kids named Anatoly and Victoriia Lomachenko with his partner Elena.

While Elena came to the media’s attention and made headlines after she married one of the most prominent fighters from Ukraine, Vasyl has avoided revealing anything personal about his family to prevent any controversy.

They are parents to two adorable kids, namely Anatoly, his firstborn, and Viktoria, their beautiful baby girl. The family of four currently lives in Camarillo, California.

Similarly, Lomachenko has not posted any pictures or shared any posts about his children on Instagram, where he has over 2.1 million followers. Instead, he usually dispatches about his matches and his religious beliefs on social platforms.

The Sun reports that The Ukrainian barely does interviews, and personal details are spared when he does.

Vasyl Lomachenko was born on February 17, 1988, to his father, Anatomy, and mother, Tetiana.

He spent most of his childhood with his parents in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union, his birthplace.

With his family’s support, he started pursuing boxing from a young age. Vasyl’s father, Anatoly Lomachenko, has been training him since he was young, and he probably would have opted to play ice hockey if he was not a boxing coach.

Anatoly started training Vasyl when he was six and helped him develop a strong foundation for boxing which helped him nab numerous gold medals and world titles.

According to Bob Arum, Lomachenko’s father reportedly held him back from boxing training until he took lessons in traditional Ukrainian dance in 2017. After that, he continued with gymnastics before entering the ring.

Camera-shy Anatoly dislikes being the center of attention, so it is challenging to understand who ‘Papachenko’ actually is as we don’t see or hear much about him.

The senior Lomachenko had the vision right from the get-go; he wanted to produce a champion from his hometown in Ukraine. At the time of this proclamation, he was a school teacher and knew that his son had what it took to inch closer to his vision.

Vasyl Lomachenko has named his firstborn and only son Anatoly after his father as a gratitude for the training and molding him into the player he is today. The young Anatoly might also pursue his career as a boxer, following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps.

Similarly, he has named his daughter Viktoriia, primarily a female name of Russian origin that means Victory.

Anatoly is a Ukrainian boxing trainer. He was born on December 14, 1964, and will turn 58 in December 2022. He was selected and nominated to collect the Futch–Condon Award for the 2017 Trainer of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association of America and 2018 by the Ring magazine.

The trainer reportedly engaged in multiple amateur contests when he was much younger. The legendary coach has also trained another sporting icon, Oleksandr Usyk.

Oleksandr Usyk also has a remarkable amateur record of 97 wins and 16 losses, similar to Loma. Oleksandr Usyk has lost in amateur competitions but is still unbeaten in professional competitions.

Vasyl Lomachenko has a net worth of $8 million as a professional boxer as per Celebritynetworth. He is one of the finest boxers from Ukraine, if not the best.

While many official sources claim his wealth to be around $8 million, sportspayouts claim that he has reportedly earned more than $20.5 million in his career. His income also includes Pay per view share and tv rights money.

His biggest paycheck came in the match against Teófimo López, earning $3.25 million, and he went home with $3.5 million after the faceoff against Luke Campbell.

He owns several records and has won gold medals for Ukraine at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and the 2009 and 2011 World Championships. Vasyl Lomachenko defeated Jose Ramirez to earn the WBO world featherweight championship in October 2013; it marked the beginning of his career as a boxer.

In March 2014, he was defeated by Orlando Salido in a bout for the vacant WBO featherweight championship. Vasyl defeated Gary Russell Jr. in June 2014 to claim the vacant WBO featherweight title. He acquired the WBO junior lightweight championship from Roman Martinez in June 2016.

He beat Jorge Linares in May 2018 for the WBA (Super) and The Ring lightweight belts. He was the top-ranked boxer in the world in May 2018.

Although he has massive wealth, he falls behind another Ukrainian boxer, Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko is a former Ukrainian heavyweight professional boxer with a net worth of $90 million per celebritynetworth.

Klitschko made a name for himself as one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time throughout his career. He was renowned for having the intelligence, agility, and footwork that heavyweights frequently lack. His powerful left hooks and jabs nearly ensured every fight was knocked out.

Vasiliy Lomachenko quit the fight and opted to return to Ukraine to serve his nation when Russia invaded. Now, he has returned and is vying for every title.

In February, Ukrainian boxer Vasiliy Lomachenko was getting ready for a match to defend his lightweight world championship titles when he learned that Russia had invaded his nation.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist known as “Loma” sped back to help the war effort rather than remaining securely overseas.

Although it was a courageous and selfless choice, Lomachenko didn’t think twice. The length of the war, his ability to continue his boxing career, and what would happen to him were all unknown as he was taking a considerable risk.

Lomachenko was out of the country when Russia invaded Ukraine, according to his promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank. He was training for his next fight in Greece, in some mountain community in Greece. And obviously, Bob called Egis [Klimas, his manager] and said, “Hey, stay there.”

However, because of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, all airports were closed, and he took a flight back to Romania. From there, he leased a car, traveled to the other side of the border in Romania, and finally got to Ukraine.

He became a member of the Territorial Defense Forces. Although he was armed, he was not required to engage in direct combat. Nevertheless, he continued to feel the effects of the conflict.

Vasyl can now compete again and will fight Jamaine Ortiz in the Madison Square Garden Theater early on Sunday morning, live on Sky Sports Arena starting at one in the morning.
