Taylor stood in fourth, with more runs to go tomorrow. She is a three-time Olympian who won bronze in 2010 and silver in 2014 and 2018.

Taylor ranked at no.1 in the world in monobob, who had a rocky start to her Olympics journey. On February 1, she tested positive two days after arriving in Beijing and couldn’t attend the opening ceremony of Olympics 2022.

Will she be made to gold for this time? She is hoping to get gold for her country this time.

Elana Meyers Taylor was born to a supportive family and a professional father, Eddie Meyers.

Her father, Eddie, was a professional football player who attended George Washington University on a scholarship for softball. Elana was born on October 10, 1984, in Oceanside, California.

But, she grew up with her family in Douglasville, Georgia. In an interview with Globals Sports Matters, she revealed that she was grown up in a very athletic family.

Like his father, her mother played sports throughout high school. Reportedly, she was a cheerleader as well as playing softball.

Growing up in an athletic family, she built up a passion for sports from a very young age. She has dreamed of attending the Olympics since her childhood.

Elana Meyers Taylor Husband- Her Son

Elana Meyers Taylor gave birth to a son with her husband, Nic Taylor.

Nic is her fellow Olympic bobsledder and coach. The couple got married in April 2014. Their son, Nico, was born at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic with down syndrome.

As reported on 11 Alive, her son was deaf in both ears when he was born and went to the Atlanta Speech School. Nico, two years old, is an inspiration to his mother and father.

Elana said that his son had had challenges in his short life. His struggles marked her want to be a better person every day.

Elana Meyers Taylor- Her Journey To Olympics

Elana Meyers Taylor, 37, has had an Olympic journey since 2007. California-born bobsledder has dreamed of competing in Olympics since childhood.

She won the silver medal in the bobsled two-woman event at the 2009 FIBT World Championships in Lake Placid. On January 16, 2010, she enrolled in the U.S. team for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Likewise, Meyers won bronze at the 2010 Olympics Winter Games alongside Erin Pac. In the 2022 U.S Olympic team, she holds a country fag in the opening ceremony as a flag bearer. 

Unfortunately, she couldn’t attend the opening ceremony due to COVID-19.
