Edson and Leon Biography | Who are Edson and Leon on AGT?

Edson and Leon are two Brazilian men who are contestant on America’s Got Talent Season 14. They wowed judges with their hand balancing on America’s Got Talent season 14 Night 3 of Auditions, Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

The two met fourteen years ago and had dreams of performing their hand balancing act in front of a large audience, and that dream was finally realized during Tuesday night’s episode of “America’s Got Talent” season 14.

Edson and Leon America’s Got Talent

Before the Brazlians began their seemingly effortless routine, judge Julianne Hough commented that Leon, with his white hair and black glasses, resembled Ed Asner‘s old man character from Pixar’s “Up.”

Unfortunately, Leon didn’t seem to know what film she was referring to, but he’ll have time to watch it between now and the Judge Cuts as they earned four “yes” votes. The judges commented:

Howie Mandel: “Amazing. It’s so unexpected. It takes so much strength. We see people less than half of your age who are more wobbly, can’t do those moves. Is he really 84 years old? I loved it.”

Gabrielle Union: “You guys knocked it out of the park and you inspired me to pick up some new tricks, and I’m only 46. Amazing performance.”

Julianne Hough: “First of all, age is but a number. We didn’t know what to expect, but we were rooting for you. I mean, we were literally getting higher and higher and higher, and all of a sudden we were all up on our feet.”

Simon Cowell: “This was a surprise. It was exactly why we created this show, to find people like you. This was genuinely one of my favorite acts.”
