Just hours after Chmerkovskiy posted a terrifying video from the top of a bunker-equipped hotel in Kyiv, his wife in the US expressed her concerns on Instagram.
“Please pray for Maks, my husband,” she wrote. “I don’t normally ask for these things from my social media platform, but today is extremely difficult, and the next few days will be even more difficult.”
“My pain is overwhelming, and I’m struggling, but sending him your positive energy and love would mean the world to me. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything more.”
She stated that many people had been asking her for information that she did not have. All she knew was that he was safe for the time being.
Peta continued, saying, “Please pray for Ukraine and the innocent civilians whose lives are being torn apart. I grew to love this country during my two visits, and they’re in an unimaginable situation.”
Maksim was currently filming the “World of Dance Ukraine” in Kyiv. He was there on Thursday morning when Vladimir Putin’s surprise invasion of his neighbor began.

He claimed that the invasion was the result of “all one man’s ambition.”
