David Drew Pinsky, commonly known as Dr. Drew, is an American media personality, internist, and addiction medicine specialist. He hosted the nationally syndicated radio talk show Loveline from the show’s inception in 1984 until its end in 2016.

Dr. Drew Pinsky is 64 years old and grew up in Pasadena, California. He studied biology at Amherst College, prior to receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from USC’s Keck School of Medicine. During medical school, he served as a radio personality for “Ask a Surgeon,” a segment on KROQ-FM’s night show.
In 1995, the radio program’s success blossomed into the national market with MTV’s Loveline, a broadcast offering relationship and medical advice, hosted by Dr. Drew, along with Adam Carolla. Dr. Drew and his wife Susan are parents to triplets: Douglas, Jordan, and Paulina. In 2021, he revealed a prostate cancer diagnosis, during which he gave intentions of undergoing radiation treatment.
