On November 9th, 1953, Bernard Membe was born in Tanzania’s Lindi Region.
Membe notified his constituents in January 2013 that he will not be running for a seat in the 2015 legislative elections, sparking rumors that he could be thinking about running for president.
Membe was dismissed from the CCM in February 2020 after being accused of “indiscipline and violating the party’s ethics and constitution” by the central committee.
