Donald Adeosun Faison was engrossed in acting from the age of five. He was born in New York City on June 22, 1974.
One of Faison’s first memories is of witnessing his mother conduct rehearsals in the deserted theater while his parents, Shirley and Donald, were active members of the National Black Theatre in Harlem. She later had an impact on his choice of profession.
“My mother has always been my biggest hero. She has done a lot for me and helped me out when I needed it the most, he said to E! Online.
Faison attended the National Black Theatre-founded Children’s School for the Development of Intuitive and God-Conscious Art. He co-wrote and performed in the play When the Lion Roars when he was six years old.
