The New South Wales Treasurer, Dominic Perrottet, and the planning minister Rob Strokes have arisen as the frontrunners to succeed Gladys Berejiklian. As Gladys Berejiklian resigned on Friday as mentioned in the guardian.
However, they would be facing lots of contenders to become the state’s fourth leader. Before conducting a party room meeting on Tuesday, Stokes, Perrottet, Andrew Constance, and Stuart Ayres were immediately touted as the possible candidates for being NSW Premier.
Until and unless the candidate is being selected, John Barilari will be made Acting Premier, as per smh.
