Metallica has a lead singer – James Hetfield. Alongside being one of the band’s creators, Hetfield is also a key songwriter.
Although he mainly handles rhythm guitar, his unique rough voice is what sets Metallica apart. Most of their songs feature Hetfield’s vocals, sometimes with support from other bandmates.
What is Metallica’s lead singer’s name?
James Hetfield, the frontman of Metallica, isn’t just the lead singer; he’s the backbone of the band.
Alongside belting out lyrics, Hetfield rocks the rhythm guitar, helps steer the ship as a co-founder, and pens many of Metallica’s iconic tunes.
Despite Kirk Hammett’s epic solos stealing the spotlight, Hetfield’s gritty voice and commanding aura define Metallica’s signature sound.
Surprisingly, when Metallica first formed, Hetfield wasn’t pegged for the lead vocals. Yet, destiny had other plans, and Hetfield’s voice became the rallying cry for Metallica’s legion of fans worldwide.
