Does Melanie Martinez Have Cancer?

No, the singer and songwriter do not have cancer but a different person also named Melanie Martinez was diagnosed with cancer. She set up a gofundme account for people to donate to help in her breast cancer treatment.

This fundraiser was set up by Robyn Cornwell on behalf of Melanie Martinez. This is what the gofundme page wrote about the fundraising:

“For those of you that don’t know, Melanie Martinez, the smiling face of SMS, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We have created this GoFundMe site to support her surgery, radiation, and recovery that will all be taking place in Denver over the next 6 weeks. We want to alleviate some of the stress that comes with fighting cancer and to help ensure her speedy return to SMS. Let’s come together and show Melanie how much we love her!”

“As Melanie begins the next stage of her fight, medical bills are beginning to add up. Please support Melanie and her family to alleviate some of the financial worry associated with this fight. And thank you so much to those of you who have already generously given!”
