Justin Simmons, a seventh-year player, is only the fifth safety in Broncos history to be selected to both the second team of the 2019 and 2020 All-Pros and the Pro Bowl while playing for the team.
In his first 91 games with Denver (81 starts), from 2016 to 21, he recorded 453 tackles, 339 of them solo, 3.5 sacks (28 yards), 21 interceptions (352 yards, 1 touchdown), 49 passes defended, one recovered fumble, two blocked field goals, one blocked extra point, and 12 special teams stops.
In addition to being chosen as the Broncos’ nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for three years in a row (2019–21), he also became the first person to receive the Darrent Williams Good Guy Award three times (in 2017, ’19–20).
Does Justin Simmons still play for Broncos?
Since Simmons has a deal with the Broncos through the 2024 campaign, he will probably play out his eighth season in Denver and try to improve upon his strong showing.
