Australian Rules Football legend Joel Selwood and his model wife Brit are currently pregnant with their first child.
They have announced the “miracle” birth of their first child on social media after years of infertility issues. They both took to social media to share the great news and provide some words of inspiration for other couples who may be having trouble becoming pregnant.
Joel is not scared to take chances in his professional career, and his wife Brit Davis’s support is one of the primary factors in this.
Selwood competes for the “Australian Football League” team Geelong Football, has won three Premierships, has been selected for six All-Australian teams & served as captain three times.
He has played as an inside midfielder his whole career and ever since his debut, he has regularly performed well across several significant statistical categories. Which in turn gave him the reputation of being one of the league’s most reliable and well-rounded players.

Joel Selwood and Brit Davis held their wedding on a gorgeous private estate outside of Geelong, Victoria in 2020.
The event was planned by wedding planner Laura Harvey which was a memorable ceremony for many. Joel’s team member Patrick Dangerfield was also present during the marriage.
Brit and Joel started dating in 2015 after they first met through common acquaintances, and in August 2018 they announced their engagement. Similarly, the pair posted a collection of images from their intimate wedding, in which they were joined by close relatives & friends.

Joel Selwood was born to his parents Bryce And Maree Selwood on May 26, 1988, in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.
He was raised in a sporting household where his mother excelled in tennis & running, while elder twins Adam & Troy were early football talent spotters.
Maree, Joel’s mother, was given the “2005 AFL Players Association Mother of the Year Award” for her contributions to football via each of her kids.
Selwood had to wear leg splints as a toddler to aid in his recovery from a walking impairment. But, he showed initial success as an athlete. He held every running and jumping record at the Bendigo Sports Center in a year, except the 100-meter sprint & he was the state hurdling champion from under-10s through under-15s.
Joel Selwood Grew Up Alongside Three Siblings: Troy, Adam, and Scott Selwood
Joel Selwood is the third of the four kids born to Bryce and Maree Selwood. His twin brothers, Adam, & Troy, were born on May 1, 1984, & combined to play 187 games. Scott, his younger brother, is two years younger than the Geelong FC star.
His other brother Scott played for the West Coast Eagles and Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League. He received the John Worsfold Medal in 2012 while playing with the Eagles. In the second part of the 2014 season, Selwood served as one of the club’s five acting captains following the resignation of then-captain Darren Glass.
Scott joined his brother & current Geelong captain Joel Selwood on the field for a further four seasons after moving to Geelong via free agency after the 2015 season.
Joel was familiar with playing with bigger teammates and rivals because he grew up with elder siblings. He kicked three goals in his first competitive football game at age eight against kids four years older than him.
His brothers have all chosen to play professional AFL football. But only Selwood is still competing while his three siblings have already given up playing.
