TV personality Ant McPartlin has paid tribute to his co-host’s brother, calling him the “kindest, wisest man I knew”, following his death at the age of 55.
McPartlin claimed in a tweet that the priest “would never be forgotten.”
The 46-year-old ITV host remarked, “My thoughts, prayers, and love are with your amazing family.”

Anthony McPartlin does have a brother named Robert, according to Mirror. Additionally, he also has two siblings named Emma McPartlin and Sarah Nigrelli.
It is said that Robert tragically lost his wife, Sally Ann Thomson, to a rare form of ovarian cancer when she was only 29 years old.
While Ant was still overseas filming I’m A Celebrity, she passed away in 2013, just before Christmas. Sadly, his business obligations prevented him from flying back in time for her funeral.
Ant’s mother, Christine, intervened to assist with her grandson, Owen, Ant’s other nephew and was a major support to the grieving family.

Actor Pays Tribute To Fellow Star Declan’s Brother Fr Dermott Donnelly
Following the passing of Declan Donnelly’s brother, Ant McPartlin posted his own public eulogy. On Friday, the devastating news was revealed that Catholic priest Father Dermott Donnelly had died unexpectedly (July 8).
The 55-year-old Father Dermott passed away peacefully in the hospital after a brief illness, according to a statement from the diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
On Saturday morning (July 9), Ant, who has known Dec for about 30 years and been his friend, posted a tribute on social media.
And he tweeted: “You were the kindest and wisest person I knew, Fr. Dermott. Peace be with you, dear friend. We won’t ever forget you. I am thinking about your amazing family and sending you my love and prayers. An exceptional man has left this planet.”
More optimistic responses began to pour in on the tweet shortly after that. “All my thoughts are with the family at this moment,” stated a @antxdec fan. @jowadders01 replied: “Godspeed, sir. We are thinking about you and Dec’s entire family.”
